If you are using the BlackBerry Priv, DTEK50, or DTEK60 you might be noticing that the DTEK app has been acting a little funny lately after the most recent updates. According to some the BlackBerry DTEK App has been telling users that there is an issue with the Operating System, though there isn’t one. Only a small amount of users have reported this issue, but if you experience the issue, it can be a little annoying. Your device is still usable and it performs fine. BlackBerry is aware of the issue and has added the problem to the BlackBerry Knowledge Base, which pretty much means they are looking into the issue.
When opening the DTEK by BlackBerry application the Device security status shows as POOR and the following message is shown under Operating system integrity: The integrity of the operating system is compromised.
This issue is under investigation. A resolution is currently unavailable.
Complete a Factory Reset of the BlackBerry powered by Android smartphone.
As stated above, the only true known workaround at this time is to perform a Factory Rest, which isn’t that great of an option for anyone. If you need to perform a factory rest, you might want to stay away from the BlackBerry DTEK App until the issue is resolved. Let us know in the comments below if you have been experiencing the issue.
