BlackBerry Productivity Tab Receives Major Overhaul with New Look and Features

BlackBerry has been rolling out a ton of updates for all their BlackBerry Android applications over the past few months. However, there is one app that hasn’t seen to much love from BlackBerry.  The BlackBerry Productivity tab is a great feature that first debuted on the BlackBerry Priv. Sadly though it really hasn’t seen an update since it was first rolled out.

Today via the Google Play Store, the BlackBerry Productivity tab is getting a major update, that brings a major overhaul to it.  The update give the Productivity Tab a new look and adds some new features to it.  You now have quick triage features like Reply All and Delete for items in the Hub and you also have new Quick Actions for things inside Contacts.

“Today, we’re proud to announce a major update for all BlackBerry Android devices, including PRIV, DTEK50 and DTEK60 (and coming devices). Available very soon through the Google Play Store, this update completely overhauls the Productivity Tab’s interface, making it both cleaner and more user-friendly. It also adds new Quick Triage functionality (such as Reply All and Delete) for items in the Hub and new Quick Actions for entries in Contacts (such as Phone, Text, Email).”

The update is available for the BlackBerry Priv, DTEK50, and the DTEK60.  The update has even been seen on the BlackBerry KEYone. It’s nice to see BlackBerry bring some attention the the Productivity Tab. Actually gives in a BlackBerry Peak feel that is on BlackBerry 10. It will be interesting to see if they include the Productivy Tab to BlackBerry Hub Suite Plus. Stay tune for a over video coming soon!
